Middle Childhood Education, Master of Education
The Middle Childhood Education major prepares you to teach in grades 4-9 leading to licensure in the state of Ohio. Develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to become an effective leader and advocate for social justice with a master’s degree in middle childhood education. This program provides the training needed to become a teacher and obtain initial licensure to teach grades 4-9 in two specific areas of concentration – language arts, mathematics, social studies and science.
Combined with a dedication to equity and social justice, the Middle Childhood MEd program is fully accredited and is consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation. It meets national and state curricular standards in addition to the Association for Middle Level Education teacher preparation standards.
