The Business Education Teacher program prepares you to become a business educator in public and private school settings. It is a specialization of the Technical Education and Training major, designed to prepare graduates for expanding career opportunities in the field of education and training.

The Career and Technical Education program is designed to develop professional career and technical educators who will foster the development of secondary and adult students by preparing them for a high-performance workforce that is in constant transition.

A degree in Child and Youth Studies (CYS) provides the knowledge and skills students need to shape the future through community-based teaching and learning. Specializations are selected to connect with interests and career goals, exploring child and youth development, community connections to education, and non-formal education methods.

The Primary Education (P-5) program is committed to working for social justice and excellence for all children. Students will be taught to think critically and reflectively while teaching in inventive ways that meet the needs of all learners. Students engage in schools throughout the Columbus area spanning the pre-k to fifth grade license.

A first of its kind in Ohio, students can earn their bachelor's degree pursuing licensure in Primary Education (P-5) and as a visual impairments intervention specialist. This dual licensure program provides students with diverse knowledge and experiences that will contribute to gainful employment in a competitive field.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Education Teacher Education prepares students to become a family and consumer science educator in public and private school settings. It is a specialization of the Technical Education and Training major, designed to prepare graduates for expanding career opportunities in the field of education and training.

The Health Education licensure prepares teachers in the area of school health education from kindergarten to 12th grade. Curriculum was developed using guidelines from the American Association for Health Education, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the National Health Education Standards developed by the Joint Committee on National Health Education Standards.

Students of the Human Development and Family Science program will learn how humans develop physically, emotionally and socially throughout the lifespan in the context of the family. This broad-based interdisciplinary degree provides the knowledge and expertise to shape an interesting and impactful career helping individuals, families and communities.

The Integrated Language Arts program combines a student’s passion for reading, writing and working with children in a degree leading to a license to teach in Ohio. Students learn all aspects of literature, writing, English, speaking, and listening, as well the latest theory and research in the field.

The Integrated Social Studies programs leads to an initial teaching license for grades 7-12 in the state of Ohio. Combined with a dedication to equity, social justice and building engaged, democratic classrooms, the Integrated Social Studies, the BSEd program is fully accredited.

The Middle Childhood Education major prepares students to teach in grades 4-9 leading to licensure in Ohio. You will develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to become an effective leader and advocate for social justice with a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education.

Combining love of physical activity, building relationships and working with children and youth, the bachelor's degree in Sports Coaching, Recreation and Physical Education offers two specializations. Become a teacher licensed in Ohio or a specialist building unique programs that give children and youth a love of physically active lifestyles.

Ohio State’s Science and Mathematics Education program provides the education and experiences that will lead to an initial four-year Ohio license to teach science and mathematics in seventh through 12th grades. With plenty of hands-on experience, students will be ready for the school districts across Ohio looking for highly skilled teachers.

The bachelor's program in Special Education prepares students with the skills and license to teach children who have learning or developmental disabilities. The undergraduate teacher licensure in Special Education is a competitive program preparing students to meet the educational needs of diverse learners with disabilities.

Developing multilingual teachers and classroom communities that foster academic learning as well as English-language proficiency are some of the goals of Ohio State’s TESOL BSEd program. Students will be prepared for the dual role of language educator and advocate for multilingual students and their families.

The Bachelor of Education program in World Language Education leads to a baccalaureate degree and an Ohio teaching license in either French or Spanish. Students will learn from faculty with local, state, national and international experience.

Develop your skills to work with children from birth to 5 years of age in public and private childcare and preschool settings. This fully online associate’s degree will help students understand the factors that influence the development of the whole child, including biology, family and community. This program is not available to those who already have a bachelor’s degree.
