Curriculum was developed using guidelines from the American Association for Health Education, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the National Health Education Standards developed by the Joint Committee on National Health Education Standards.
Students of the Human Development and Family Science program will learn how humans develop physically, emotionally and socially throughout the lifespan in the context of the family. The Integrated Language Arts program combines a student’s passion for reading, writing and working with children in a degree leading to a license to teach in Ohio. Students will be prepared for the dual role of language educator and advocate for multilingual students and their families.
The Bachelor of Education program in World Language Education leads to a baccalaureate degree and an Ohio teaching license in either French or Spanish. Students will learn from faculty with local, state, national and international experience.
Develop your skills to work with children from birth to 5 years of age in public and private childcare and preschool settings. This fully online associate’s degree will help students understand the factors that influence the development of the whole child, including biology, family and community. This program is not available to those who already have a bachelor’s degree.
