Biography
Julie Kennel is an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, Co-Director of the Masters in Dietetics and Nutrition program, and Director of the Human Nutrition dietetic internship. In her teaching, she focuses on experiential learning activities that engage students and enhance student acquisition of knowledge and skills. Her work experiences have prepared her as an instructor for medical nutrition therapy lab as well as sports performance nutrition and behavior change and education courses. Her research and special projects focus on promoting dietetics as an essential part of health and demonstrating the value dietitians bring to health and wellness teams. She also contributes to research that predicts or explains human eating habits and behaviors and evidence-based strategies for achieving behavior change.
