Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher, Lecturer, Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) in the Exercise and Behavioral Medicine Laboratory at The Ohio State University. My background is in designing and implementing group-mediated and theory-based exercise, dietary and behavioral counseling interventions in chronic disease populations examining the effects of intervention on quality of life, body composition and other psychophysiological determinants of health in chronic disease populations. Currently, my primary objective is to address health inequities in rural cancer prevention and control by promoting adoption and maintenance of self-regulated lifestyle behavior change through providing access to efficacious, theory-based interventions, while examining change in clinical and quality of life outcomes. Secondarily, I am focused on addressing the pressing issue of behavior change maintenance and weight regain following primary intervention
